COLEUS BEAUTIFUL PLANT
Coleus is a beautiful plant and having different color shades and designs and looking
Very attractive when it grows beautifully and looks like a bushy plant.
Coleus plant is very easy to develop, just cut the thick stems of plant and replant
in another pot.
Coleus requires moist, rich, loose, well drainage soil. Before planting add compost fertilizer
and any organic fertilizer , perlite in soil. Choose the container with drainage holes.
The Coleus plant has square type stems. The leaves are often variegated with colorful patterns of
magenta and green colors. Coleus plants are very attractive once they are fully developed.
Coleus will develop well in pots and planters. It should be potted in free draining potting soil and
in proper sunlight. Avoid windy locations because it is a very delicate plant and branches
can be broken easily if not handled properly.
Coleus is a perennial plant belonging to the lamiaceae family. Thick cutting of coleus plants can be
easily repotted. If we add mixed variety of coleus in one basket or pot it will also look very
beautiful once it develops.
Coleus plants should not be kept in direct sunlight continuously as it will affect the color
shade of leaves and should be kept in shadow. In the morning ours we can keep the plant
for some time in sunlight. There are over 300 different coleus species and 1500 different varieties.
